Ala Carte Alice Mississippi Bayou Gumbo
A true roux with all the great flavors of a scratch made Gumbo! Just add broth and bring to a boil. you can add chicken or sausage or you can make a seafood Gumbo with shrimp and/or crab. This makes 2 quarts of Gumbo.
Directions: In a stock pot, add 5 cups of cold water and the gumbo mix. Stir well and bring to a boil, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes. Alternate recipes: add 2-3 lbs. of chicken, sausage, shrimp, or okra.
